Mr. Ed’s Farm LLC is a child’s dream come true. I grew up on a farm. We had dairy cows and lots of other animals. And chores, lots of chores. As children, my siblings, 3 sisters and four brothers, played farm all summer long. We had toy animals, barns, tractors and lots of things we made ourselves. We pretended to plow fields in the sand box, plant crops and make hay in the grass. We all had our chores to do. As soon as you were big enough to carry a pail of feed you were big enough to help with chores. Being able to do your chores and contribute made you feel important. Our parents recognized our contributions and rewarded our efforts with praise and encouragement. We learned to take our responsibilities seriously and grew up with a sense that whatever we did was important. Not doing ones chores was akin to breaking a promise. Promises to others and, for a farmer to the animals we care for are sacred. Values and passions learned as a child transfer to adulthood. Toys are no longer toys but become real life situations. Mr. Ed’s Farm is real. The animals are living and the equipment and buildings lifesize. Me?, Mr. Ed the Farmer, I’m still a little kid at heart living the dream.
